AER+ Training delivers first aid training for workplaces from a base at the Knowledge Gateway in Colchester. Its courses cover Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work, along with CPR, AED instruction, basic life support and paediatric first aid, and it runs refresher and renewal sessions for people whose existing qualification is coming to the end of its life.

Training is delivered as practical classroom teaching and assessment rather than a slideshow. Candidates who complete a course successfully receive a certificate, issued digitally. The practical upshot for an employer is that the money spent on a statutory first aid course does not simply disappear into a training provider's margin. It funds the same skills being taught to children in the region, which is an unusual thing for a commercial training business to be able to say and a reasonable reason to prefer it over a national provider.
