Another non-ferrous metal, nickel 201 sheet and plate, is an alloy of nickel with other elements to improve its properties. This grade, identified by the UNS N022001 grade name, has become quite popular in industries due to its high toughness and strength, especially in high-temperature applications. Acidic environments show great resistance to the sheets and plates, which are unaffected even at higher temperatures by weak bases like ammonium hydroxide. These also offer very good resistance to sodium hydroxide, again underpinning their versatility.
