The goal of Rooster in Dough, private chef service, is "Être comme un coq en pâte." Literally translated -- "Being like a rooster in dough" means feeling cozy and pampered, as in a state of absolute contentment, with your every need perfectly met.
As a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef and a veteran of some the top restaurants in South Louisiana, I'm uniquely qualified to handle your personal catering. I have worked under fine chefs such as legendary founder of LaProvence, Chris Kerageorgiou; James Beard Award-winner, Alison Vines-Rushing; and Ryan Hughes, considered one of the most underrated chefs in New Orleans. My biggest culinary influence growing up in New Orleans was my Mississippi Delta-born and bred mother. Memories of her food inspire me today.
Together, we will prepare a personalized menu for an intimate dinner party or brunch in your home. The pampering begins when I meet with you to design a menu to fit your culinary desires, dietary restrictions and budget. (When we meet, you'll appreciate why I've been dubbed Chef Santa.) I handle all of the grocery shopping, bring the food and my cookware to your house, and prepare the menu. All you have to provide are the place-settings and alcohol. You can enjoy the luxury of hosting a dinner party without stress or worry. You and your guests may choose to watch or even take part in the preparation. I clean up and leave you the leftovers for lunch the next day.
