This is a comprehensive certificate course. Students will meet once a month for a 6-month term with their teacher to be introduced to the broad topic (e.g., Drugs). After the overview and discussion of the topic, each student will select a subtopic of their own interest to pursue independent study on. For example, you may choose to study Marijuana after being introduced to the topic of drugs. Students will then spend the next 3 weeks researching their topic based on a set of guiding questions. The following month everyone will return with a brief presentation (~10 - 15 min) of their topic. After all of the presentations, a new topic will be introduced. For example, Mental Health & Disorders.
