Description
This famous tour will introduce you to Jewish Buenos Aires within the larger context of the history of Buenos Aires and Argentina.
You will learn about Crypto-Jews in Colonial Buenos Aires, we will see the first Memorial in honor of the Victims of the Shoah inside of a Cathedral, we will visit the most magnificent synagogue in Buenos Aires, stroll in the Jewish neighborhood of Once, look at the site of the AMIA; the Jewish Federation that was bombed in 1994, have lunch at a Kosher deli, and much much more!
We will talk about Jewish Gauchos, the Jewish religious movements in Argentina, antisemitism and the coming of the Nazis after World War II, the capture of Adolf Eichmann by the Mossad and all about Perón and Evita!
