Jimmy Burroughes is a former British Military Officer turned global leadership consultant, known for transforming how leaders and teams operate in high-pressure environments. He has worked with more than 3,000 leaders across 20+ countries, helping organisations remove friction and unlock performance using his signature Simplify to Amplify methodology, delivering an average performance lift of 47 percent in just 90 days.
Jimmy’s journey from the military into corporate leadership revealed a hard truth. Many traditional leadership approaches create burnout without delivering sustainable results. That insight led him to found JBL High Performance, where he helps leaders move beyond constant firefighting and focus on what truly matters, achieving exceptional results without sacrificing wellbeing.
He is the author of Beat Burnout – Ignite Performance and Escape the Multitasking Trap, and his work blends military precision with practical, real-world corporate strategies. Jimmy’s approach is deeply hands-on. Rather than teaching theory, he embeds learning directly into daily operations, ensuring leaders can apply what they learn immediately.
Known for his clear, no-nonsense facilitation style, Jimmy combines compelling storytelling with battle-tested techniques that build trust, strengthen alignment, and create clarity. His clients include global organisations such as Lego, Samsung, Bank of America, and some of New Zealand’s largest enterprises.
Whether delivering his flagship Ways of Working program for teams in transition or Amplify Leadership Live for ambitious leaders, Jimmy leaves teams not just informed, but genuinely transformed, with practical pathways to lead better, perform stronger, and sustain success over the long term.
