For more than six decades, Good Sammy has been at the forefront of positive change, dedicated to enriching the lives of Western Australians with disabilities. Founded in 1958, this venerable social enterprise is driven by an unyielding commitment to providing individuals with disabilities meaningful employment opportunities and pathways to a brighter future.
At the heart of Good Sammy's mission lies a visionary goal—a goal to create a more inclusive future for people with disabilities. They firmly believe that inclusive workplaces are the cornerstones of a truly inclusive society. To translate this vision into reality, Good Sammy offers an extensive range of meticulously structured development programs and employment choices, empowering individuals with disabilities to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
The Mount Lawley Op Shop, a bustling hub within the Good Sammy network, epitomizes this mission. Beyond being a treasure trove of second-hand items, it also serves as a convenient drop-off point for Containers For Change, making it effortless for visitors to recycle their drink containers and receive refunds.
Situated in a prime location with excellent access via public transport, the Mount Lawley store finds itself in close proximity to a Masonic Charity Outlet, a Vinnies Store, and a Salvos Store—a veritable paradise for thrift shoppers.
What adds an element of excitement to every visit is the ever-changing stock. With a rapid turnover of high-quality and seasonal items, each trip to the store promises new discoveries. What's even more remarkable is that every action taken at Good Sammy's Mount Lawley Op Shop—whether it's shopping, donating, or participating in container recycling—serves a dual purpose: promoting sustainable fashion and a circular economy while actively contributing to the creation of meaningful employment opportunities for Western Australians with disabilities.
