We are a small, friendly & quite possibly the cheapest coffee & sandwich bar in Bournemouth. Our quality products are sourced locally and prepared in our kitchen. While we are a commercial self sufficient business we also offer training for employment.

Hello, and welcome to 'FRESH TARTS'.

From the outside we probably look like any other sandwich or coffee bar, but we are very different...........

This is a sustainable, commercial and real-life training project.

All the people who work here are all part of a training programme, gaining work experience and useful qualifications to help them get into employment and the career they deserve or desire.

It's run and overseen by people with loads of catering experience to offer guidance & support, so you can be assured the place will be run properly.

We've called it 'FRESH TARTS'.
When you say it ( go on, try it now!) it sounds like 'FRESH TARTS' and 'FRESH STARTS' and the same time! 'FRESH TARTS' because our locally produced products will be fresh and sometimes we'll probably do tarts and 'FRESH STARTS' because it says what we are trying to achieve.
In any case, we hope you like the name!

This is a joint venture between MERLEY HOUSE (a wedding and conference venue in Wimbourne) and local training company, SWRAC.
They have a refreshing & positive attitude toward training and have great results in helping people back into work.

Where humanly possible, we will only sell good quality produce, sourced from Dorset and The New Forest.

Some people you meet here will be at the end of their training, some at the beginning, so please forgive any nerves that might appear!

There will be some mistake's on the way, it's all part of the learning.
If it does, please let us know and we will rectify it immediately-We obviously want you to be delighted with the service you get from us.

Now the good news..............
Everything we sell will be at very reasonable prices! Mainly because we are a training establishment but also because we just don't believe in charging a small fortune for a decent cup of coffee!!
