If you have a missing tooth, multiple missing teeth or you will soon
be having some teeth removed you will need to think about your options
for replacing the missing teeth. For many people, the ideal option is
to use implant crowns in Williamsburg. These are a permanent option
that will give you a much more natural looking and feeling tooth that
will function normally.
Dental implant crowns are secured in your mouth using a small anchor
that is implanted into the actual bone above or below your gums. This
is typically going to be done either at the same time as the tooth
extraction or in the days or weeks following it depending how much
healing of the mouth needs to take place. Once the anchor is secured
in place it will have to heal up so that it won’t cause pain to the
patient. When ready, a custom made dental crown, or false tooth, is
secured onto the anchor.
