SOL (Seasonal, Organic, Local) Kitchen Chef, Sarah Lim, trained in Raw cuisine at the Living Light Institute in 2007. In 2008 she moved to Ojai and started her own small business, catering retreats, and working as a private Chef. Sarah's specialty is Farm fresh food, her belief is that the quality of her ingredients is of paramount importance. She shops almost exclusively at Local Farmer's markets and Farm Stands, and passionately believes in supporting small organic Farmers wherever possible.
Sarah's cuisine is light and delicious, she balances her flavors with care and follows three ancient Ayurvedic principles when it comes her food: Food should be made with the freshest ingredients available, and eaten immediately or soon after preparation, the five tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and pungent, should be in balance in every dish, meal, and throughout the day, and lastly, that local, organic, and seasonal food is the healthiest and most appropriate food for our bodies.
