"The Theatre of Dreams" Established as a billiard saloon since 1934 it has 7 full size snooker tables (arguably Edinburgh’s best kept tables) a fully licenced bar. With many of Edinburgh’s top players using it as their venue of choice.
Established as a billiard saloon since 1934 (formally the new Carlton Club) the Locarno is situated in Edinburgh west. On the first floor it has 7 full size snooker tables (arguably Edinburgh’s best kept tables) a fully licenced bar area serving snacks and drinks with all live sport shown on our large plazma screen in the bar. Being a very traditional club with its original panelled walls, large radiators & high celling.
Locarno attracts the connoisseur! With many of Edinburgh’s top players using it as their venue of choice. Our Club Professional is Scott Donaldson who was the European Amateur Champion 2012 joining the Professional ranks at age 18
We have many playing from the club who compete in the local and district leagues. Competitions are run on a regular basis whether it be a Sunday handicap, a junior league or national competitions. Locarno welcomes all with no membership, cue hire or chalk charges.
