Lim Tong Lee Yong Tau Foo
Originating from Hakka roots, Yong Tau Foo is a Singaporean local dish which is known for its soupy broth and chilli sauce which serves as the main dipping accompanied with its fellow sweet sauce.
At Lim Tong Lee Yong Tau Foo, the concept has somewhat been altered whereby its sweet sauce, sourced and cooked with additional ingredients, is the feature of this local delicacy.
With a range of up to 30 ingredients on a daily basis, this affordable (prices ranging from SGD 2.50 onwards) dish can be paired to go along with the typical yellow bean and ikan bilis soup, laksa paste or even Chee Cheong Fun (rice noodle rolls).
Why Chee Cheong Fun?
As mentioned, Lim Tong Lee Yong Tau Foo's sweet sauce was more of a seller and we thought, "Hey! Sweet sauce is found in Chee Cheong Fun too? How about......?" (In all honesty, we didn't know that this was widely available in our neighboring counterpart Malaysia.)
Located at the heart of industrial area Ubi at the Frontier Building along Avenue 3, Lim Tong Lee Yong Tau Foo dedicates to serve this dish at a reasonable price to promote healthy dining for everyone (and I mean both young and old) out there!
