Latium is proving to be one of the best Italian restaurants in London.

Named after the southern Italian region of Lazio, Latium is owned by Chef Patron, Maurizio Morelli along with London restaurateur, Claudio Pulze. Opening to great critical acclaim in London in September 2003, it has fast gained a reputation among its loyal clientele as one of London’s best Italian restaurants.

Whilst the menu is representative of all regions in Italy, there is a particular emphasis on the cuisine of Lazio. Through his menu, this talented and passionate Chef showcases some of the best seasonal dishes in London.

With a strong commitment to sourcing ingredients from small, artisan producers in Italy - some specially imported from his hometown of Latina - Morelli cooks in a way that best represents the flavours and seasonal variations of his home country. In true Italian style, he insists on preparing and making all his bread and pasta fresh each day, complimented only by the very best in seasonal British produce.

Morelli’s growing international reputation has seen him represent the best of Italian cuisine in London, at the annual gastronomic congress IDENTITA’ GOLOSE in Milan (www.identitagolose.it).

Adding a third and finishing element to the team at Latium is restaurant manager Umberto Tosi, who manages the Front of House team bringing a wealth of experience in customer service.

Latium Restaurant was the winner of Restaurant Magazine’s UK Best Dishes-Pasta category in its “UK Best Dishes Awards” and was listed in the Romantic Restaurant section in the GQ Restaurant Guide.
