Lafayette Grill & Bar has been TriBeCa’s destination for Mediterranean fine dining, music, dancing and special events for nearly two decades. Opened by George, Dino and Billy Bakakos in 1996, Lafayette is home to both an expansive dining room with cathedral ceilings and a fully-stocked bar within steps of Manhattan’s Civic Center and the Financial District. A neighborhood staple for the area’s mix of artists, office workers, court employees, students and film stars, Lafayette is known for its authentic Mediterranean cuisine and friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Under the guidance of the Bakakos brothers, Lafayette also doubles as a cabaret that entertains and engages patrons with an eclectic mix of performers almost every night of the week. The restaurant has been used as a location in over twenty major production films, and is a frequent home to dozens of television shows, including NBC’s Law & Order.
