Devereux is a traditional British pub in Temple serving great cask ales and freshly
cooked traditional pub food.
Well off the beaten track in one of the quiet, quaint alleyways which are a feature
of the Inns of Court, the Devereux is a pub enhanced by its atmospheric location.
It's a solid, traditional pub - quite appropriate for the area - with some interesting,
well-kept ales on the hand pumps, a decent wine list and the usual spirits and lagers.
The Devereux is pretty much a lunch time and afterwork sort of pub and gets busy
around those times, offering a traditional menu to accompany the drink and if you're
looking for a more formal setting there's a restaurant upstairs. Outside of these
hours, it tends to be pretty quiet, with the occasional groups from nearby offices
wandering in from time-to-time.
