Café on Francis Street
We opened the Cross Café in June 2013, in the high-ceilinged front room of the gallery space on Francis Street. The café offers seating for 15 diners, with two big windows looking out over the street. On the menu, we make a selection of sandwiches fresh every day on crusty sourdough bread sourced from The Paris Bakery on Moore Street. While baked goods are made by Koster Cakes (Nicholas Gore-Grimes’ sister) and consist of Carrot cake, Lemon Squares, Chocolate Brownies, Cookies, Banana Bread & Flapjacks. Soup will be added to the menu in the autumn.
We serve Badger & Dodo coffee – a small boutique roastery based in Fermoy. We have a wonderful barista Sungsu (originally from South Korea, trained in Melbourne) who makes the most incredible coffees with some magical latte art. And our tea is supplied by Clement & Pekoe on South William Street.
