Caramello is an Italian dessert cafe nestled in Park Slope of Brooklyn, New York. We specialize in coffee and espresso drinks, pies, tarts, cakes, as well as gelato and sorbetto. To compliment your sweet tooth we will also serve pizettes, paninis, as well as a carefully crafted beer and wine menu.
Main owner and head of the kitchen, Nicoletta Grippo was transplanted to New York after running a gelateria in Vancouver, Canada and teaching others how to spin gelato all over the world. Caramello is her lovechild, and she brings food out of the kitchen with care and imagination completely befitting of Brooklyn.
We use only the freshest of ingredients, searching for produce as close to the original source as possible. Our pies and cakes speak for themselves, you can always find our fruit pies using items that are in season-- never anything artificial. As far as our gelato is concerned, with over 100 rotating flavors and constant creation of new frozen treats, there is no way to leave our gelateria unhappy.
